Aeroflot Signs Agreement for 90 MC-21-310 Aircraft

Russia’s flag carrier Aeroflot has signed an agreement for the delivery of 90 MC-21-310 passenger aircraft. Russian President Vladimir Putin also attended the signing ceremony at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.

Under the agreement, the 90 aircraft are scheduled to be delivered to Aeroflot between 2029 and 2032. The contract also includes flight simulators, flight crew training and comprehensive technical support for 22 years. United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) described the deal as the largest contract of its kind in the history of Russian civil aviation.

Aeroflot is also scheduled to receive 18 MC-21 aircraft between 2027 and 2028 under a previous agreement signed in 2023. The two agreements bring the total number of MC-21s planned to join Aeroflot’s fleet to 108.

Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov said certification of the MC-21-310 is expected to be completed in 2027.
